Panasonic HPX-170

The AG-HPX170 is an ultra-mobile P2 HD handheld camcorder featuring full, 4:2:2 independent frame production quality HD and solid-state recording. Based on the AG-HVX200 series, the lighter HPX170 is fully solid state (no DV mechanism), and comes with a host of enhancements including a new 1/3" progressive 3-CCD imager system, wider Leica Dicomar 13X lens, an HD-SDI interface.

Utilizing a powerful 13X Leica Dicomar zoom lens, the HPX170 offers a wide 28mm (35mm equivalent) viewing angle, covering most shooting situations without the need for a wide-angle conversion lens. It also features an Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.) function that ensures stable images during hand-held shooting.

Variable Frame Rates for Fast- or Slow-Motion Effects - Like the HVX200A handheld, the HPX170 offers variable frame rate capability, providing professionals with the cinematic expression of higher-end cameras like the Panasonic VariCam® AJ-HDC27. Select from any of 20 steps, between 12 and 60, for undercranking/overcranking for fast or slow-motion effects.

Reliable Solid-State P2 Recording - The HPX170 is ideal for professionals looking to take full advantage of the reliability and flexibility of the fast, file-based P2 workflow. P2 HD products have no moving parts, unlike tape, hard disk drive, or disc-based systems. It provides instant random access to recorded HD or SD content; and operates reliably in harsh environments, with resistance to temperature extremes, shock and vibration.

Using 32GB P2 cards in the HPX170's two card slots, you can record up to 160 minutes in full frame DVCPRO HD formats, 128 minutes in DVCPRO50, 256 minutes in DVCPRO. Recording times double with the use of a 64GB P2 card.

Panasonic AG-HPG20

Supporting the 10-bit AVC-Intra codec as well as DVCPRO HD and DV, the P2 Portable serves as a master-quality deck for fast, file-based recording.

With 10-bit AVC-Intra compatibility, the HPG20 P2 Portable allows users to play back and review P2 cards on its 3.5in LCD screen, manage clip files and metadata, record content from a wide range of cameras via its HD-SDI input and back up data onto hard disk drives. Featuring two P2 card slots, the P2 Portable’s solid-state design holds up to the demands of field operation, yet it is small and light enough (2.5lbs) for easy transportation.

Recording and playback formats include 1080/60i, 1080/50i, 720/60p, 720/50p in the AVC-Intra and DVCPRO HD 4:2:2, independent-frame codecs and 480/60i, 576/50i in DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV.

Panasonic AJ-HPM110 P2 Mobile

The mobile AJ-HPM110 P2 Mobile solid-state recorder/player is ideal for use in the field, in mobile vehicles or in the studio. It offers master quality recording and playback in a wide range of high definition formats, including 1080p (native), 1080i and 720p, and in standard definition.

The ultra-reliable AJ-HPM110 records in independent-frame DVCPRO HD/50/25 and DV formats as well as master-quality, full-raster 1920 x 1080 AVC-Intra (with optional board), and is designed to work with virtually any professional camera system, from tape-based digital cameras to high-end cinema cameras with 1080/24PsF output (in full-raster 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720). Equipped with the comprehensive features found in its predecessor, the AJ-HPM100, the AJ-HPM110 adds native 1080/24p recording, 1080/24PsF input/output, multiple frame rate recording, 24p pull-down removal as well as real-time playback of 720p variable frame rates for work with speed effects like over- and under-cranking.

The P2 Mobile's wide array of AV/IT connections ensures flexible operation in a variety of production environments including high-end, 1080/24p movies and commercials.
